Our parks and recreation programs throughout the county offer many and varied recreational programs. Some offer swimming pools, gyms, ice rinks, and organized activities such as dance, art classes, sport programs, etc. Parks also offer open space to walk, run, hike trails and cross country ski. There are many special interest clubs and organizations that provide a variety of socialization activities, Cultural experiences, leadership training, and much more. Listed here are just a few. Ask your parents, teachers, or religious youth director about other groups that may interest you.

Never Alone Club
Provides drug-free activities in East Bloomfield for young adults aged 10-18.
Ontario County Arts Council
The council administers state funding for arts at the local level and encourages arts activities in Ontario County.
Boys and Girls Club of Geneva
Recreational activities are provided as a way to build relationships with children with the goal of enhanced youth development.
Finger Lakes Council, Boy Scouts of America
Organizes Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting and Explorer organizations in the Finger Lakes area.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County 4-H Youth Development Program
A variety of training and activity programs including 4-H programs.
Cobblestone Arts Center
Provides classes in music, dance, visual arts and theater.
Salvation Army - Canandaigua
Teens on Friday nights; also sponsor occasional roller blade events and dances.
Cheshire Volunteer Fire Dept. Junior Program
Program provides educational and recreational activities for girls and boys linked to fire fighting. Junior program is for those aged 14 to 18.
Geneva Housing Authority
The authority provides a variety of educational, recreational and related programs for the agency's tenants.
Geneva Recreation Department
Various recreation classes, leagues and leisure activities.
Geneva Salvation Army
Provides programming for youths and adults including volunteer and community service work and recreational activities.
Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council
Organizes Girl Scout activities in a 13-county area including Ontario County.
Geneva Family YMCA
Provide recreational opportunities including swimming, gymnastics, leaders club, summer camps, after-school programs, sports leagues and wellness programs.
Never Alone Club Part 2
We generally meet at the Canandaigua YMCA 32 N. Main St., Saturday nights from 7-10 p.m. We utilize the Y's teen center, gym and pool. Pool use usually is limited to the first Saturday of the month. Occasionally we will have field trips, run fund raisers or otherwise engage our teens in healthy positive behavior.
Ontario County Youth Bureau
The Youth Bureau provides funding to service providers in the community that meet the needs of youth and families.
Salvation Army Youth Programs
Pre-School, After-School, Summer Program (fee charged) and a Camp program serving various age groups.
Victor YMCA of Greater Rochester
The YMCA provides a variety of recreational activities for teens and middle school students.
Greater Canandaigua Family YMCA
Many activities are offered such as swimming, basketball, before- and after-school child care, and a teen center.
Clifton Springs Area YMCA
The YMCA provides a variety of activities for families and children, including summer programs. No youth membership is charged.
Manchester Family Park
The Manchester Family Park is a public park and is open to all Village of Manchester residents. Registration is free to Manchester residents. Those that sign up for field trips pay for the event. Example: Movie tickets, waterpark tickets, Seabreeze, bowling, food, etc. but transportation is provided.
First United Methodist Church of Canadaigua Youth Group
Recreation program for teens on Saturdays from 3:30-5 p.m. and other events as scheduled. All are welcome.
